This is a biological/environmental piece of fiction taking a real-life situation, Asian Carp trying to enter Lake Michigan, and propelling it into a “what-if” situation where the Asian Carp grow and mutate into man-eating fish. Based in Chicago, Grand Haven, and Beaver Island in Lake Michigan, the story follows two young and beautiful biologists as they attempt to control the carp invasion. They get involved in forensic science as they are brought in to examine victims who may have been attacked by the Lakesharks. Characters in the story include three couples on break from college looking for adventure, an island doctor, the local police officer, an esteemed captain of the coast guard, and the coroner. The biology in the book is accurate; it is meant to be informative and entertaining. This fantasy is written with refined language so that a person of any age can enjoy the book.
